The tax problem was tied to the bookkeeping. The bookkeeping was tied to cash flow. The cash flow problem was tied to reporting. And too often, nobody had explained the numbers in a way the owner could actually use.
Preparing a correct return or cleaning up the books mattered, but it was not enough if the owner went back to the same problems. That realization changed the vision for Orenda: understand the entire financial picture instead of selling disconnected services.
